I have a 2Tb external HDD WD20NMVW-11AV3S4 with PCB 2060-771961-000 REV P1.
I suspect that the PCB has a failure, I opened the HDD completely and the heads are not moving at all (they are parked correctly, they are free, easy moving, and the plates are turning correctly, with no scratches etc.). On the screen, appears new HDD with given letter (H:), but I cannot see any folders, the HDD’s led keeps blinking without any progress…
First, I really want to check this PCB somehow, to be sure is bad or not and if it is bad, to renew it. If the HDD will still not work, than I will send it to a lab.
You can swapping PCB to try. https://www.hddzone.com/wd-2060771961000-pcb-p-535.html is your donor PCB.
When you get this PCB, you need to move your original PCB’s BIOS to the replacement PCB.
