Toshiba PCB G002439-0A

Q: I believe this board is destroyed due to a faulty power supply connection. The 12v and 5v power leads might have been mistakenly swapped during connection and now the disk will not spin up or do anything.

Is there any way I could find and measure the TVS diodes or other component on this board? Maybe remove the TVS diode if that is shorted or some resistor. But I’m not sure where it is on this board.

If possible I would like to try something like that or if you have any other tips as a first resort before replacing the board and have the bios chip swapped. Do you have any tips for this?

Also, what kind of board would I need to order from your website to be sure it will fit my drive?

Swapping PCB and BIOS is the easier way than changing TVS diodes.
