Q1: Hi I have an external (usb) Seagate expansion drive 500 GB the drive itself is a Seagate barracuda 7200.12 500gb the drive will not
spin up so I took it out of its enclosure & connected it up to a usb 2.0 to sata/ide cable connection kit with its own power supply it still did not spin up drive has never been moved since it was connected to pc so it hasn’t been damaged by falling over or taken any hard knocks it just simply died on me do u think a replacement pcb board will enable data to be recovered from it drive info is as follows.
