Hi there, I’m about to purchase the 100717520 REV B board from your site but before I do, I was curious about getting some questions answered. Mainly, am I doing the right thing buy purchasing a whole new board if my hard drive doesn’t seem to get power. No sound, no spinning. Happened out of the blue. I’m quite amateur when it comes to electronics repairs, but I used a multimeter on, what I believe, are the two diodes to check for issues. My multimeter didnt buzz on either. Also, no damage on the board that I can see. Would you suggest I replace the board? Any help would be great, thanks!
If your HDD can’t spin, you can swap PCB to try. The BIOS also need to be changed.
Thank you, I will do that.
