my Seagate ST2000DX001 SSHD does not work anymore (no sound, was notrecognized by BIOS from one day to another) I already checked the PCB board and it was heavily corroded. Even after cleaning the contacts, it doesn’t work though, but it looked like the corrosions might have caused some short circuits on the board anyways, as it was widespread all over. So I want to order a replacement PCB board from you and already found it
in your store – 100716565 Rev A. However, a BIOS transfer seems to be necessary. Following your repair videos, I identified one 8-pin-EPROM-chip on the board, but I want to make 100% sure it really is the BIOS chip, so it would be great if you could confirm. The chip is labeled “winbond 25q80bws09 1437” and the only 8-pin-chip on the board.
