Following your instructions I have checked the PCB that is specified on your website (PCB 2060-800021-001 REV P1) is an exact replacement for my failed 4TB WD SSHD internal drive. Can you say why I would need to exchange the BIOS/Main Controller IC chip rather than simply replacing the PCB. This instruction –
“…. In most cases, you should exchange the BIOS/Main Controller IC before you swap hard drive PCB, in order to make the replacement board compatible with your HDD”. – has stopped me from ordering the PCB from you.
Every PCB’s has the unique info in the BIOS. If you don’t change BIOS, the HDD may not work.
