PCB 2060-701444-003 rev A bios chip

i have a WD Caviar 160GB HDD.

The PCB is 2060-701444-003 rev A….i have it in my cart.

But before i buy can you tell me:

Which is the bios chip?…

On my PCB, i see 2 (TWO) chips marked 3BCAY but they only have 6 (SIX) pins yet you say on your listing that the bios chip has 8 (EIGHT) pins…i dont see an 8 pin chip on my PCB.

The PCB’s BIOS is integrated into the Main Controller IC. You should exchange the Main Controller IC to let the HDD be recognized. Move the Main Controller IC(the biggest chip on the board) is a complex job which need you have certain technique. Some electronics repair shop can do it.
