Seagate 100512588 REV A Barracuda 7200.11 PCB Circuit Board

1. I purchased a Seagate ST31000333AS 1TB drive 1 month ago and last week it kicked the bucket. The drive spins up ok and all but in the BIOS it’s detected as a 33Mb Drive. I took it back to shop and they said that its faulty.
Now I really want to get my 400GB+ Doco’s of this HDD, so i decided to buy another 1TB drive of the same model and swap the circuit boards over.
No GO .. the circuit boards are a different revision .. mine is 100512588 REV A and the new one is 100466824 REV C.
My question is .. will this work if i do somehow find a drive with a same circuit board revision ? is there any other option i can explore? Any help is greatly appreciated !
