I have the above drive which is spinning up but not recognized by anything including computer management | disk management or any file manager like explorer, frigate, or multi-commander to name three. I’ve tried reading it both internally and externally.
Drive was working just fine in my win 7 box when I moved it to a win 10 box. Ran for a few days and then just quit.
PCB says it is a 100687658 board.
Little white sticker on case to the top and left of PCB reads 100622804
2LFYE 3442LL
Can this be repaired and if so at what cost?
I can provide photos of the board if needed.
Replacement the PCB will not solve the problem below.
* The drive will power up normally (no ticking noises, errors etc) but will not be recognized by the computer
* The drive will power up normally and be recognized correctly but will report a size of 0 bytes
* The drive will power up but report SMART errors on boot
Those problem is caused by the HDD firmware corrupted. You can find a data recovery company help.
