The PCB board on my Western Digital 1TB Sata WD10EADS-00L5B1 hard drive went out. It does NOT have a BIOS chip on it, so I assume I don’t need to swap a chip.
The number on the left side of my board is: 2060-701590-001 REV A
The number under the bar code is:
2061-701590-J01 01P XT 7K14 LMRU 4 0004200 0 204
Do you have a replacement board I can buy that will work? Do you need any more info about my drive to make a good match?
wd 2060-701590-001 pcb is your donor PCB.
You PCB’s BIOS is integrated into the Main Controller IC. You should exchange the Main Controller IC to let the HDD be recognized. Move the Main Controller IC(the biggest chip on the board) is a complex job which need you have certain technique. Some electronics repair shop can do it.
