1. The problem I am having is the mentioned hdd from Western Digital. It quit working – looking under the pcb a small point is melted on the insulation on the Q2 chip …
I need therefore a similar working pcb for this drive, but know of the U12 chip issue. I have not enough skills or tools to replace this chip.

2. I really need this kind of HDD so here are all the specs:

So here is the catch:
My HDD just doesnt power up and when i hook it to any computer the bios just hangs up.
