The hard drive PCB, or HDD PCB, is the Printed Circuit Board that is screwed into the back of the hard disk drive. If you have ever handled a hard drive, you may recognize the PCB as the green or blue board on the bottom of the HDD. The main function of the PCB is to supply power to the hard disk, data signal processing, etc. The main components are the "main controller chip", the "motor control chip", the "ROM chip", the "cache chip", and the interface.

Hard Drive PCB Circuit Boards Repair:
Most HDD PCBs' failures are caused by Motor Controller Chip burnt, then the TVS diodes burnt and Main Controller IC burnt.
In most cases, Motor Controller chip burnt can be seen by eyes. We can see a burnt hole or raised part on it. TVS diodes' short circuit can be test by a multimeter. Main Controller IC is difficult to be test. Burnt TVS diodes or Motor Controller IC can be repaired by using the same model chip or diodes.
